A school uniform is an important part of belonging to a school. It helps pupils present themselves positively, gives them confidence to represent the school and promotes a strong sense of identity.
Year 6: Pupils wear a special uniform consisting of a maroon jumper and an Atkinson Road tie.
New admits receive a free school sweatshirt on admission.
Appearance
Hair should be neat and tidy. Extreme styles, colours, patterns, or large accessories are not permitted. For safety reasons, children are not allowed to wear jewellery unless this is for religious reasons (inline the Equality Act 2010).
PE Kit
PE kit is provided by school free of charge and includes shorts, tops, jogging bottoms and a school hoodie. These items are regularly washed for all children.
Swimming
For swimming lessons, children should bring:
All items should be taken home each week to be cleaned and returned for the next session.
Other Items
Every child is given a free reading book bag.
Valuable items should not be brought into school. We do not allow jewellery to be worn in school. Children are allowed to wear a regular watch but not a smartwatch.

Uniform can be ordered through the School Gateway app via the main office.
