Students with Medical Conditions
If your child has a medical condition, including asthma, you should contact the school and arrange to complete a personal healthcare plan.
We recommend that this personal healthcare plan be reviewed regularly. It is a parent’s/carer's responsibility to do this review, although we will try to send reminders out periodically.
Where dosage or medication schedules change, we expect parents and carers to contact the school to amend the care forms. We have several staff members trained to deliver and supervise medication, such as medicines and inhalers.
We encourage inhalers to be kept at school. If your child has a more severe or different type of medical condition which requires specific and personalised treatment, we may have to arrange for additional training for staff. If you are in any doubt, please contact the school office.
