Safeguarding

Back
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is defined as:
  • Protecting children from harm.

  • Making sure their physical and mental health isn’t negatively affected.

  • Providing a safe and caring environment for them to grow and learn.

  • Taking action when needed to help every child achieve their best.

Everyone who works with children has a role to play in keeping them safe. All our staff are trained to create a safe, supportive, and happy place for children to learn.

We follow the latest government guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024, which outlines how schools should protect children. We also work closely with other services to make sure families get the support they need.

For more information, or if you have any concerns about a child’s safety, please speak to our designated safeguarding lead, Mrs Margaret Donkin, or contact the school office.
